What would you do with your best health?
Would you pick up your kids more easily or be less worried about the future? Would you be able to do that long hike you always wanted to, run that mini marathon, or just walk down to the shops without needing to rest along the way?
Here at Human Health we understand how easy it is to feel out of control of our health at times, and how worrying this can be. We are here to support you to regain control of your health through making positive choices around food, exercise, sleep and mental wellbeing. Things that truly put you back in control.
Why come to Human Health for help?
Meet Ruth, one of our patients.
Ruth kindly shares the reasons that she initially sought help and support from us here at Human Health.
Ruth describes how her recent health scares have been turned on their head and actually encouraged her to make positive changes. These changes impact on her family too and she is now beginning to live her best possible life!
So what’s the problem?
Modern lifestyles are often not conducive to long-term health. Covid has highlighted this further. We live our lives in a reactive way to illness, rather than a pro-active health-facing way. Many of us are inactive for long periods of time and have either poor nutrition or over-nutrition. Inadequate sleep, stress and exposure to environmental pollutants all play a key role in determining our risk of developing disease. Many of these diseases, such as diabetes, heart disease, some cancers, fatty liver and sleep apnoea, are a result of lifestyle factors.
While we may be living longer, are we adding quality to our years? Can you increase the chances that you not only live longer, but live that life with optimal health? Could changes to your lifestyle make a difference?
The answer is ‘yes!’ and you may be surprised at how much difference! Let us help you make these health choices.
Little changes make a big difference
Even small changes to your lifestyle could significantly decrease your risk of developing diabetes, high blood pressure, cardio-vascular disease, osteoporosis and even some types of cancer and dementia.
If you have any of these conditions, it’s not too late to act. You may be able to reduce your risk of complications associated with these conditions, reduce your symptoms and even reverse your reliance on medication.
If you would like our help on this journey, the first step is a thorough consultation and assessment with our doctor-led team, and a conversation with your doctor. Please always seek advice before starting a new exercise or healthy living regime.Get in touch to find out more
